When I was eleven, my father cut a quote by movie producer and director George Lucas out of the news paper and gave it to me. It said, “If you can tune into the fantasy life of an 11-year-old girl, you can make a fortune in this business.” I still have that clipping. Much of my heart artwork is based on what I wanted to create when I was a kid, but didn’t have the skill set to do so. I have always loved stories and storytelling, and that's what I try to accomplish in each painting. I aim to use my artwork to create a whimsical world into which people can escape.
