As a clinical psychologist and artist, I approach making art in very much the same way I approach therapy. I am inspired by the possibility and discovery in the individual. As an artist I see myself as a guide for imagination. I work with fluid mediums because they are unpredictable, and it is my role only to guide their movement and expression. Similarly, when a patron communicates what they see in a piece, I believe an important exchange is taking place between artist and viewer. I enjoy following the lead of the viewer, guiding and supporting their unpredictable imagination. It is my hope that my artwork ignites curiosity in the viewer about themselves and their imagination.
