Crafts at the Cathedral 2026
Rooted in the long traditions of Buddhist life, I draw my inspiration from the need for balance between nature and human existence. Silk and cotton become meditative materials -threads that mirror the interwoven nature of all living things. Natural dyes gathered from bark, leaves, roots, and earth connect the work to the landscapes of Laos, where I was borne: riverbanks, forests, and village gardens. The muted reds, deep indigos, and warm ochres and greens evoke both the robes of monks and the changing colors of the seasons. With my work I honor the traditions of Lao craft and the belief that beauty arises from harmony between nature, culture, and the mindful human hand.
