Crafts at the Cathedral 2026
My inspiration begins with stitching. I learned to sew from my grandmother, and that early experience shaped how I see structure and surface. I pay attention to seams, layers, and how materials hold together through tension and line. Nature influences me in a similar way. I am drawn to subtleties in the landscape, the edges of rock, the layering of leaves, and the marks left by weather. These observations stay with me and enter my work. Creating allows me to translate memory, material, and place into something meaningful. Each piece carries forward a tradition of handwork while reflecting my own way of seeing.
