I enjoy creating art that draws attention to the splendor and fragility of the natural world, often making pieces larger than life so that one can’t help but take notice of the beautiful details. I am especially drawn to the winged creatures - butterflies, moths and birds. Their gift of flight evokes a sense of freedom and spirituality.
Over many years of exhibiting at juried art shows, it became apparent to me that the work is also about human connection. I see it when people’s eyes light up as they explore the collection and try pieces on. I hear it in the stories that are shared when a certain piece evokes a strong feeling, spiritual connection or memory.
