As brass, the medium of my works, is exposed by engraving from the hidden appearance of patina colors and patterns, it reveals its surprising golden aura. Gold can be a symbol of greed and luxury to some, but across history and cultures, it is a glimpse of the beauty of our spiritual plane which we all share inside us, not limited by time and space symbolized by the drama of patina in my works.
