What is it we consider "precious"? Is it something as tangible as gold & diamonds, pearls, and physical beauty? Or is it more ephemeral than that? In crafting both my artworks and my business I am moved to explore the deeper meaning within the very materials I employ. My focus is the counterpoint between found objects (driftwood, beach rock, and sea glass) with more "precious" (ethically sourced) materials, such as gold and silver, fair-trade sapphires and recycled diamonds, to redefine what it is we consider to be truly precious. I want the true story behind each piece I create to be a legacy of beauty, integrity, and justice, a physical manifestation of what is most precious in life.
