The life of an artist traveling from show to show displaying my hand sculpted creations, while challenging, is deeply rewarding. I am passionate about handcraft and it's role in helping maintain a more human and humane world, especially as our reality becomes so much more artificial, virtual, and manufactured. I strongly value our relationship with art patrons, working to keep the kinesthetic experience of art alive. While the core of my work is deeply rooted in the fundamentals of production and design I learned as a second generation jeweler, my newest work in silver and patinaed bronze is a direct collaboration with the sea, casting oysters, mussels, barnacles & other intertidal forms into elegantly abstract works of art.
