John’s favorite way to find new scenes to photograph is traveling on foot. His travels range from hiking in national parks across the country to trail running in the park just a few miles from home. In 2005 he thru-hiked the entire Appalachian trail. Since then he has continued to travel by foot whenever he gets the chance, totaling over 10,000 miles so far throughout the United States. John shares his experience of the natural world by highlighting the texture and color of the scenes around him.
