When visiting the sea who can watch without fascination as the waves lap against rocks or a shoreline. Even more fascinating is when the waves turn from calm to turbulent. As a wave rises and hurls itself against a rock or sandbar, water changes to aerated foam and bursts forth over the rocks and through the cracks then disperses quietly to the shoreline.
