Brookdale Park Spring 2025
My ceramics are deeply inspired by the natural world, reflecting its organic forms, textures, and rhythms. Each piece I create is wheel-thrown, a process that feels as grounding as the earth itself. The tactile connection with the clay is a meditative experience, allowing me to channel the fluidity of water, the warmth of fire, and the air’s gentle flow into my work. Hand-carving the surface adds another layer, capturing the intricate details and patterns found in nature, like the lines of a leaf or the ripples on water. By hand-glazing each piece, I embrace the unpredictability of the process, letting colors and textures shift like changing seasons. The result is a collection of functional and decorative works that bring a sense of nature’s raw beauty into everyday spaces. My goal is for each piece to serve as a reminder of our connection to the natural elements that surround and sustain us.
