Brendan Fuller is a Seattle native making ceramics that fuse fine art with function. His functional pottery stems from a background in Japanese Tea Ceremony while his sculptural work is exploring reductivism, sometimes on a very large scale. Fuller has invented his own glazes and firing styles, achieving colors and effects from wood ash that don't seem possible in nature.
He is a graduate of University of Washington and of Rhode Island School of Design where he concentrated on sculptural ceramics and material chemistry. Fuller has recently completed residencies in Maine, New York, and Denmark, and is excited to be back in Seattle working in the sunshine.
