My landscape paintings are inspired by years of walking through forests, marshes, meadows, and coastal waterways. Beginning with observation but evolving intuitively in the studio, the work explores memory, atmosphere, and the emotional resonance of place through layered marks, woven textures, and luminous color.
Rather than documenting specific locations, these paintings aim to capture the feeling of being immersed in nature — moments of calm, wonder, and refuge that can be carried back into the home. The layered rhythms of trees, grasses, water, sky, and wildflowers become a visual language for contemplation, and restoration.
