I have been a lifelong crafter and was drawn to making lampshades because I love thinking about the interplay of light with multiple fabrics. Every shade is hand sewn with traditional techniques. I prefer to use upcycled, vintage, and deadstock materials whenever possible - this ensures each lampshade is a unique piece that is unable to be reproduced. All shades are lined with two layers of silk charmeuse to give good light diffusion. I try to use natural fabrics as much as possible but will use synthetic fabrics when they are the right choice for the lampshade's design.

I find the process of making shades to be incredibly enjoyable and I hope you feel that joy in the final pieces. A lampshade is an excellent way to ensure your home has a unique piece of functional art that enhances your aesthetic. I love creating a piece of unique art that will be cherished for years.
