Robin draws inspiration from traditional henna designs, 19th & early 20th century wallpapers and Victorian miniature oil paintings as well as the warmth of wood inside a home & hearth. She creates a marriage of floral bouquets among stylized paisleys & mandala, where she honors the natural grain as she applies her art. Robin is also conscious how she sources her wood. She is pleased to share that a region cannot harvest the trees for her purposes until a tree is done fruiting. Therefore, all of her pieces typically are from trees that are hundreds of years old.
