Early in my wood-turning career I was looking for a meaningful way to make a living. Creating cremation urns became my passion and honor.
During the pandemic birdwatching in my back yard became another devotion.
Inspired by the stunning wood grains and the wildlife which inhabits the trees I was drawn to educate the public by creating wood-turnings and carved bird sculptures with materials from the local area.
My work seeks to unveil the often-overlooked beauty that surrounds us, wether concealed beneath tree bark or embodied in the birds we hear but seldomly see up to close.
