I have developed a vocabulary of elements from the materials I explore. Each piece evolves as these elements inhabit the space in a biomorphic composition. These elements have an intimate relationship with each other, which the viewer is invited to interpret. I am intrigued with balance, proportion, texture, and colors as they relate to each other. My use of natural and renewable sourced materials is integral to the evolution of the work, and often inspires the direction. My work is an exploration of form and materials, each equally important. My techniques are firmly rooted in the historical tradition of metalsmithing.
