Rittenhouse Fall 2026
Pattern for me, is a way to participate in the age-old language of craft and embellishment. While in many ways, I value simplicity for its timelessness and strength, I am also drawn to decoration for its role in adding life and color to the world. Many of the patterns I use in my pottery are inspired from historical craft sources, like Japanese shibori textiles, American pieced quilts, Islamic tiles, and Southwestern Native American pottery. Others are designed organically, using the basic grid as my guide.
