I grew up in Chinatown San Francisco and went to Chinese School everyday after regular school hrs . We learned to use the brush and ink for Chinese calligraphy. I, on my own, took Chinese brush painting lessons in Chinatown for many yrs. Moving to Wisconsin and seeing the changes of seasons and nature all around me, inspired me to expand my subject matters and style of painting by adding more colors, brush techniques and different scenes of nature.
